New house pix!

Finally, new pix of the inside of my house.

I wish I could do more to help the hurricane survivors beyond donating some cash. I'm changing the name of my Yahoo! group from Born Again Virgins to Born Again Women and inviting anyone affected by the hurricane to join. My hopes are that it will be a safe, supportive forum to discuss whatever members want to discuss. Flames will be extinguished quickly and flame throwers will be discouraged.

I've lived in my new house for a little over 3 months. I'm completely unpacked and settled in. It's as though we've lived here for much longer. The downside of this is that until today I had not explored my neighborhood beyond the short stretch that I walk my dog. Today I drove through the entire neighborhood and was speechless. I hadn't realized how nice of a neighborhood I moved into. I knew it was nice but it's REALLY nice! It's the kind of place I used to drive through and think "I'll never live in a neighborhood like this" or "I'll never own a house as nice as these". I was so focused on my goal of buying a house that I failed to realize that I'd achieved a dream I believed was unattainable. I also don't know many of my neighbors yet. I plan to get out there and walk more and meet the people in my new corner of the world.
