A Woman Obsessed

My newest & current obsessions...
  • Weight Watchers. Lost 13 lbs so far!
  • Reading. Rereading Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. Also reading anything else I can find that sounds interesting.
  • Tarot cards. Don't cringe! It's not like in the movies. Tarot is just a tool for inspiration, introspection, finding new approaches to obstacles, problems, and challenges just to name a few uses. It has nothing to do with magic beyond the magic of imigination.
  • Purses. They fascinate me. Bags, purses, wallets, pocketbooks, tote bags, organizer bags, trendy, classy, sophisticted, whimsical...
  • Hello Kitty. It's personal. It's pink. Did you know that Hello Kitty was originally targeted towards senior citizens?
  • Faeries/Faery art. Primarily the art of Brian Froud but there are many other talented artists of faery and fantasy art.
  • Owls...this grew out of my Labyrinth obsession.
  • Computers & electronic gadgets. Call me gadget gal or geek. I answer to both.
My long-time obsessions. Some things never die...
  • David Bowie.
  • Labyrinth (starring David Bowie, conceptual art by Brian Fround and Terry Jones)
  • Star Trek
  • "Weird Al" Yankovic
  • Magazines. I'm more into books right now but magazines are great for trips to the necessary room.
  • Pink. Anything pink. It's my favorite color.
  • Aquariums. Fishies are cool. I'd like a saltwater aquarium someday.
  • Plants. I have a jungle in my house.
  • Cameras. Been taking pics since I was old enough to hold a camera.
A few of my fleeting obsessions...
  • Beads. Making bracelets, mostly.
  • Scrapbooking. I have the stuff...just never put it all together.
  • Knitting. I have a scarf to make for someone but she took her yarn home!
  • Painting. I painted houses on rocks for awhile, among other things.
  • Various other crafts such as cross stitch, needlepoint, embrodery, sewing, etc.
  • The Sims.
Dead obsessions...
  • Bells. I used to collect them.
  • Oil lamps. Used to collect these too.
  • Crocheting. I used to crochet all the time.
