Ahh...the blog! Today's funny story isn't mine, but it was told to me by my friend, JC. She had a little adventure and excitement last night. She was in her TV room, a room off her living room, watching the news. One of her kids got up and on the way back to bed JC heard her kid say "oops" but didn't think anything about it. Later, her dog got excited and bumped the door, closing it. JC grabbed the doorknob and it fell off in her hand. This usually isn't a problem because the other part of the knob is usually still in the door and if not, they have a screwdriver in the TV room. Now I bet you can guess why her daughter said "oops" when she left the room. The doorknob had fallen off as she closed the door behind her and she sat it on a table or something. To make it worse for JC, the screwdriver wasn't in the room and she didn't have anything to open the door with! She was trapped! No big deal, she thought. She decided to wait for her husband to get up and use the bathroom. When he did she beat on the door and yelled but he didn't hear her and went back to bed. Poor JC! She had to use the restroom too! And there's no bed in that room so she shoved 2 chairs together and tried to get some sleep. But every noise woke her up. When one of her kids would get up she'd bang on the door and yell. Her dog wasn't any help either. The dog wouldn't bark!! Finally, at 6 am her husband got up and by then JC was shedding tears of anger and frustration. It took about 15 minutes to get her husband's attention!!!
